Hi,

   Lajes may not be the busiest airport, but on what concerns emergency landings in Portugal, it kicks ass. Today there was another one, and it wasn't the first time this year. On the January the first, an Alitalia B777 on his way to Miami landed due to some health problems with a passenger. Today it was B767-300 of My Travel Airways due to a missbehaved passenger. But on this entry my first photos, are not of his take-off to Punta Cana, but of the traditional and weekly B747 freighter, which was a new registration to me. It was the 8th Atlas Air that I've spotted.

About 1 hour latter,  My travel Airways touched down on runway 33, and about half an hour latter I was on position to get some shots of his departure. Time passed and the crew was dealing with some issues that were related to paper work, which delayed the flight. Some showers came and without any decent place to hide from the rain, I analyzed the wind direction and stay close to a wall to avoid has much rain i could. At Lajes it is said that you can see the 4 seasons in one day. So, a couple of minutes before the B767 start to taxi, some good weather came up and I got a lovely sun to make the My Travel colours shine to my camera:

As you can see, I was very lucky with the weather, and with traffic. It was my first British My Travel, altough I had seen in Stockholm in August 2005 an A330-300 of sister airline My Travel Airways AS with the danish registration OY-VKI. Beautiful colours that these MYT aircrafts have.
